About the Classes:
 

• In each class I demonstrate the techniques for a particular artwork while participants will follow along, asking questions at any stage. Classes are interactive, and you’ll be able to unmute at any time to chat. Discussions are very much part of the class.

                                                                             

• I like to be flexible in terms of mediums and subject matter – Requests or suggestions from the class members can be made any time in the class or via e-mail

 

• At the start or end of the classes participants are encouraged to show their artwork for discussion amongst the class members, and I’ll give you ideas to address any improvements you’d like to make.  Sharing your artwork at the beginning and end of each class can be done through the Screen Sharing facility on Zoom, which is more effective than holding your work up to your webcam. 

 

• I’ll be encouraging you to develop your own style rather than expecting you to just “follow me”; so my demos will be for guidance but you’ll be encouraged to branch out into a style or medium of your own during the classes

 

• Depending on how your own webcam is set up, I will also be able to watch your painting techniques as you work, and give you some feedback/guidance for improvements during classes

 

• Each week I e-mail you the reference for the following class, a week in advance.

 

• Classes are recorded so that if you can’t attend you can watch the recording, and also watch later if you need to see techniques again. I send out recording links to the class participants after each class.
